What's the difference between RITE-PATH and the free submission critique/feedback I receive when I submit my story using the Online Submission Portal?

Rite-Path is a much more detailed service, and it’s aimed at specific concerns with your story. Most importantly, though, Rite-Path is a forum for dialogue between a senior editor and the writer. We review as many revisions as needed until the writer is satisfied with our efforts.

When do you recommend I use Rite-Path?

Ideally, a contributor would use Rite-Path after he or she has received their free critique from The Washington Pastime following a rejection decision, so that they can improve it for future submissions at other publications. However, there are a lot of circumstances where Rite-Path could be useful, depending on an author’s (and a story’s) needs.
Please remember: the point of Rite-Path is to individually service a writer’s work, providing useful observations and information at a reasonable cost. The Washington Pastime will not re-write any author’s work.
